A 3D animated educational film experience inspired by Dennis “Bose” Biddle and the Negro Leagues, created to teach students history, character, leadership, perseverance, and community legacy.

This program was created by Yesterday’s Negro League Baseball Player Company — YNLBPC — to help young people see, feel, and understand a part of American history that is too often overlooked. Through the true-life inspiration of Dennis “Bose” Biddle and the history of the Negro Leagues, students are introduced to a story of courage, discipline, perseverance, family sacrifice, teamwork, leadership, and community pride.
Legacy of Legends is more than a movie. It is a bridge between generations — connecting the wisdom of elders with the curiosity of young people. It uses animation, baseball, storytelling, and classroom reflection to help students understand that history is not only something written in books. History lives through people, families, communities, and the choices we make.
The purpose of this program is to bring the Negro League story into schools in a way that is visual, memorable, respectful, and meaningful for today’s students.
The Legacy of Legends Education Program uses the teaser film — and the future 7-episode learning series — as a classroom tool that teaches students about Black baseball history, the Negro Leagues, character development, leadership, and legacy.
The program begins with a teaser presentation that introduces students to Bose Biddle, Carver Park, the children, the glowing baseball, and the journey through history. From there, schools may continue into the full 7-episode learning series, where each episode teaches a focused history lesson and character value.

After the teaser presentation, schools may continue with the full 7-episode Legacy of Legends Learning Series. Each episode will include:
A school introduction program using the teaser, worksheet, and discussion guide.
A full student learning series built around Negro League history, character, and leadership.
A larger package for school districts, youth programs, and community education partners.
Pricing is set and maintained by YNLBPC. District and multi-school pricing is always a custom quote.
Our end goal is to give schools a program that is educational, organized, affordable, and easy to use. Schools can use Legacy of Legends as a student enrichment program, classroom lesson, Black History Month program, leadership activity, cultural arts presentation, or social studies supplement.
The school receives more than a video — an educational experience that can include a teaser film presentation, student worksheets, teacher discussion guides, guided history questions, vocabulary and reflection activities, character education lessons, a future 7-episode curriculum pathway, and opportunities for student discussion and writing.
We want students to leave this program knowing that history belongs to them, legacy matters, and their choices can shape the future. After watching the teaser and participating in the worksheet and discussion, students should be able to answer:

Why does this history matter?
What did Bose Biddle’s story teach me?
What values did I see in the film?
How did people respond when doors were closed?
What legacy do I want to carry forward?
We want students to understand that the Negro Leagues were not just about baseball. They were about excellence, courage, business, travel, discipline, family, and community strength.
Through the story of Dennis “Bose” Biddle and the Negro Leagues, we want students to understand that when doors were closed, a people built their own field, their own teams, their own league, and their own legacy. Now it is time for the next generation to learn that story.
